Gina Rinehart, an Australian billionaire mining tycoon who inherited her fortune, stated that the key to economic success for Australians is to cut labor costs to compete with Africans who “are willing to work for less than $2 a day.” Rinehart earns $600 a second from her mining company, BBC reported. American Airlines denied a Southern California family its seats in first class, citing their teenage son with Down Syndrome as a “flight risk.” WORLD -1 

Fifteen percent of Ohio Republicans believe that Mitt Romney was more responsible for the death of Osama bin Laden than President Barack Obama, according to a report from Public Policy Polling.

Researchers at North Carolina State University have created “cyborg” roaches by attaching small wireless electrical circuits to live roaches that allow humans to control their movements. The roaches could, in theory, be used to collect data such as the locations of survivors trapped underneath earthquake rubble. WORLD +1
