The public park will be reopening with a quintessential ribbon cutting ceremony directed by Mayor Mark Mallory and Cincinnati Parks Director Willie Carden. Summer campers from Emanuel Center and Peaslee Center will join the two, adding an adorable touch to the already pleasing event. As far as festivities go, attendees can expect to see circus performers from My Nose Turns Red, free popsicles from Streetpops, free waffles and iced tea from Taste of Belgium, plus musical entertainment and more. If that’s not a grand opening, then what is? Friday, July 6. The ribbon cutting ceremony begins at 10 a.m. at Washington Park, 1230 Elm St., Over-the-Rhine. washingtonpark.org.
