Expect cute overload when the Cincinnati BombShells, full of kittenish charm themselves, yarn bomb the Ohio Alleycat Resource & Spay/Neuter Clinic open house. Two of CityBeat’s 2012 Best of Cincinnati picks will generate some “knit one, purrrr too” action with Operation Kitten Knittin’. The fiber artists have made blankets to welcome fur babies being showcased for adoption, and they’ll help visitors stuff knitted mice with catnip to give to the shelter cats or take home to their pets. The gals, who don platinum wigs and big sunglasses, also promise an accessory for OAR’s big blue cat mascot. In addition to running the adoption center, the nonprofit Ohio Alleycat Resource promotes trap-neuter-return of feral cats and operates a low-cost spay/neuter clinic for ferals, strays and pets. Check its wish list at ohioalleycat.org and bring along donations for the kitties and the people who care for them. Free. 1-4 p.m. 5619 Orlando Place, Madisonville. 513-871-7297.
