FEMME (negative), 2010, from des Collages - Courtesy of the artist
Iris BookCafe’s new exhibit, Danielle Voirin’s FEMME, will be on display
through July 20, but the artist will be in-house this Sunday to participate in
an Artist's Talk at 2 p.m., during which she will conduct a critique of
photographers’ work.
The Paris-based Voirin’s show, curated by William Messer,
includes three series of self-portraits, titled “des Collages,” “Curiosity” and
“Waking.” The exhibit’s title is a play on the French word for woman with the
first three letters crossed off, leaving just “ME.” CityBeat’s Jane Durrell previewed the exhibit in the issue of April
11, which you can find here. Iris BookCafe, 1331 Main St.,
Over-the-Rhine. 513-381-2665.
