Mixing of Eastern and Western tastes has happened before, and the result is known as the egg roll. The two cultures have crossed paths again, but this time in a more respectable manner. The Canadian-based Cirque du Soleil has a traveling show that combines the Chinese tradition of acrobatic arts with the Cirque’s unique approach to performance.

Dralion gets its name from two symbols representing each culture, the dragon for the East and lion for the West. The show uses the philosophy that humans and nature are continuously looking for harmony as inspiration. Performing acts include hoop diving, an aerial hoop routine and traditional Chinese dragon and lion dances with a twist. $30-$152. 7:30 p.m. Through April 1. Bank of Kentucky Center, 500 Nunn Dr., Highland Heights. 859-442-2652, Bankofkentuckycenter.com.
