It can be long, short, curly, luxurious and beautiful, and it’s the focus of The Carnegie’s newest exhibit, The Art of Hair.

Let your eyes roam over a variety of artistic beauties, inspired by and fashioned with hair, including artwork created by artists Adrienne Antonson, Hong Chun Zhang, Laura Hartford, Akinya Howard, Matt Wiseman and Jennifer Zimmerman. Also on display is a collection of hair-related collectable items provided by P&G and a silent auction of Barbie Styling Heads artistically adapted by local artists. The exhibit opens Sunday with a reception from 3-6 p.m. Included in the evening’s events is a runway show featuring dazzling hair creations of top local salons, including A Salon Named Desire, Avalon Salon and Aesthetic Day Spa, Envy Salon and many more. Tickets are $15 in advance ($10 for members), $20 at the door.
