We like people who think outside the box, especially really big boxes (like shipping container big)! If you do, too, truck on down to Northside for parProjects' Factory Square Fine Arts Festival. This two-day event will stretch over one city-provided acre of land and feature local and national talent in both indoor and outdoor spaces. Interior space utilizes the large bays of the American Can Lofts and will include work from Ledelle Moe, Robert Front and Jonathan Monaghan.

Outside you can travel through and interact with a dozen shipping containers set up as personal galleries by artists and organizations. Keep an eye out for Thunder-Sky’s “Art of Destruction” container. Word is you can use a wrecking ball to destroy an entire city (of cardboard-boxes)! Other containers will house work from Leah H. Frankel, UC’s DAAP program, Steve Zieverink and more. An outdoor stage will be set up with music provided by Far-I-Rome Productions. Musical artists include Honest Abe, Incline District, The Apricots and more. Saturday features an encore City Flea market, dubbed the Factory Flea, until 6 p.m. The festival runs from noon-midnight Saturday and noon-7 p.m. Sunday. Located at 4100 Hamilton Ave., Northside. For more information on participating artists and full music line-up, visit www.factorysquarearts.com.
