It’s time to show Cincinnati how much we love the city we live and work in. Keep Cincinnati Beautiful, a local organization with a focus on keeping communities in Cincinnati clean, beautiful and thriving, is participating in Make a Difference Day, an annual national event created by USA Weekend. More than 30 community improvement projects are planned for the day’s activities that include participation from the city of Cincinnati, Clifton, Hyde Park, Over-the-Rhine, Pleasant Ridge, Prospect Hill, Anderson Township, Anderson Township Park District, Avondale and many more. Projects include removing fallen branches, patching sunken holes, removing graffiti, cleaning up parks and public spaces and planting flowers.

For those that would like to become involved there are plenty of opportunities to help. Make a Difference Day is always the fourth Saturday of October, with local activities running 9 a.m.-noon. A press conference at Lunken Airport with the City Manager and Council Members Laure Quinlivan and Wendell Young begins the day’s activities. 513-352-4380, keepcincinnatibeautiful.org.
