The mustache — it's a hairy bridge between the nose and the upper lip. Its variations know no bounds and range from gritty to waxed to handlebar. A ’stache signifies adolescence, manhood or an inability to grow facial hair. The fact is a mustache is just plain classy … well at least sometimes. And sometimes-classy mustaches are exactly what this party is all about. Mustache snobs will be on hand to judge real and fake mustaches on both men and women.
There will also be a variety of bands playing to get those upper-lip hairs standing on end. Kelsey Skaggs will play Country Rock stylings for all the Stetson ’stashes in the audience from 5-6:30 p.m. The Turkeys will play from 7-8 p.m. with whimsical lyrics and light guitar strumming. Just try not to stroke that hairy caterpillar in thought. Finally Indigo Wild will meld Jam band music, Indie Rock and Folk from 8:30-9:30 p.m. Your nose will twitch in wonderment. And, no, that wasn't Burt Reynolds. Arnold's Bar and Grill (210 E. Eighth St., Downtown) will host the event, celebrating all things ’stache from 5-10 p.m. Wednesday.
