28. Each moving image work involves Crocetta’s sculptures, installations and wearable objects that mediate between the body and its surrounding environment. The figures that appear in her work are costumed into otherworldly, mute Carnival players, at work in rooftop balloon farms, processions of silhouetted train cars and other fantastical settings. The scenes appear misty and silver, whether indoors or in rural outdoor spaces. Collaborations with composers and musicians result in fluttering chamber music for some of the works. The gallery will be a depot station from which we may enter Crocetta’s many dreamscapes. Weston Art Gallery, 650 Walnut St., Downtown. www.westonartgallery.com.
