Cincinnati, prepare for a double dose of indie this weekend. Along with the music at Friday's MidPoint Indie Summer Series on Fountain Square, the coinciding Indie Craft Market is sure to bring folks out of the depths of record stores and into the daylight. You'll be able to celebrate all things delightfully quirky and original as you browse a selection of handmade Etsy-style arts and crafts downtown from 5-11 p.m.

Early birds will be able to discover independent artists and designers before all their friends, and hopefully score some sweet decorations for their pads in the process. Wild Talents will launch the night's musical element at 7 p.m. as the first act of this week's installment of the MidPoint Indie Summer Series. Following up their set will be Electro rockers Soapland and the main attraction, headliners Maps & Atlases (see Sound Advice on the crew here). Luckily, listeners can peruse the market while jamming out to their favorite bands, adding a welcome new dimension to the weekly MidPoint Music Festival pre-game sessions.

Go here for directions, parking info and more.
