Another winter has passed and it’s finally time to exit the stronghold, go outside and embrace the vernal spirit with rituals of song and dance. The Mockbee (2260 Central Pkwy., Brighton) is set to host “PlexArt 3: Rebirth” in celebration of spring’s long-awaited arrival, featuring live music, dancing and local artwork well past witching hour to ensure the season is kicked off good and hard.
The band lineup includes Mose Giganticus (Prog Rock shamans on tour from Philadelphia), Arlis Perry (local Heavy Blues Rock), Vennatics (local Dubstep), Maslo (local Electro/House Music), Evolve and Freak One (local Psychedelic Hip Hop). Along with a gale force musical storm to help wash away the woes of a winter come and gone, PlexArt 3 will feature work displayed by local artists Devin Stoddard, Liz Geil, Brian Uhl and more. The event runs 9 p.m.-3 a.m. Friday. There will be a cash bar for guests 21 and up. $5 admission at the door.
