New Year’s Eve approaches and most people already have their preferred locale chosen, usually the one with the best bathroom for when you inevitably puke up your fifth Long Island Iced Tea as the ball drops. But perhaps you aren’t among the prepared? Or maybe Christmas bankrupted you and paying a cover for a bar is just asking for too much? Then head down to Toyota’s New Year’s Eve Blast on Fountain Square.

Everything you need for a New Year’s celebration is provided — namely a big screen to watch the ball drop and lots of alcohol for purchase. There are also food vendors, free ice-skating and music provided by DJ Pillo, with fireworks capping off the night and welcoming in the New Year with a bang. If you’ve got munchkins, they’re welcome to come along to join in on the fun. The event is free and starts at 8 p.m. Parking is available underneath Fountain Square.
