Non-scientific studies have shown that YouTube comments account for a third of moronic crap said on the Internet, but when it comes to commenters having trouble discerning between “Here Come the Mummies” videos and others featuring “The Mummies,” the ignorance is understandable. Let's clarify things by breaking down the primary differences between the two bands. Here Come the Mummies devote themselves to a carefully constructed blend of vigorous Funk and Rock & Roll whereas the semi-active Mummies spit out dilapidated Garage Punk.
Perhaps the most telling contrast is that HCTM proudly opened for Ludacris, whereas the original Mummies would never do — much less admit — such a thing.
