Remember, remember, the fifth of November — or just do what any normal person does and save the date into your phone’s calendar. Just don’t miss the release of the newest edition of Milk Money.

The publication, which focuses on the publication of (usually) unknown writers of prose and poetry, is releasing Volume Eight: When Jeff Goldblum Speaks, We Listen at Yes Gallery (1417 Main St., Over-the-Rhine) on the anniversary of Guy Fawkes’ failed “Gunpowder Plot,” which involved Fawkes' attempt to blow up the Houses of Parliament in London in 1605.

Friday's celebration starts at 7 p.m. and will be capped with a DJ (You Your Awesome's Kevin Bayer) and readings of original material, as well as British literary karaoke. Don’t want to read an original piece? Then share a work of the masters’ (be sure to use a British accent to make Mr. Fawkes proud).

If you can’t make it to the release party, you can pick up the newest Milk Money issue, along with many other local publications, at 44: Small Press and Artist Book Fair, held at the Contemporary Arts Center 2-4 p.m. Saturday. That event will also feature readings from the various publications.

Go here for more information about Milk Money and here for details on 44 at the CAC.
