If you enjoy quilting, stitching and/or crafts, boy, do we have an expo for you! The aptly named Quilting, Stitches & Crafts expo crams a feverishly productive weekend full of fabric remnants, needles, buttons and several specials guests, including Mark Lipinksi — apparently dubbed the “bad boy of quilting”— into the Sharonville Convention Center (11355 Chester Road) for seminars, workshops, demonstrations, shopping and special exhibits.
The bad boy will be teaching all of the expo’s workshops on Friday and Saturday and be giving a special PG-13, no-holds-barred presentation on Friday evening called, “Uncensored…and Ready to Kick Some Quilts!” Wonder what that’s going to be about?! So get ready to shop for appliqué patterns, quilting machines, doll making supplies, digitizing software and more traditional craft supplies while participating in Aunt Ruth’s Quilt Challenge, LoveQuilt Connection’s Sit & Sew fundraiser and more. Vendor hours are 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Thursday-Saturday. Workshops start on Wednesday. $8; $1-off coupon available on Web site: qscexpos.com/cincinnati.htm.
