Well, well, well…what do this weekend? Maybe some summer cleaning? I’ve been putting that off successfully for about two months now. Go to the pool? It is going to be 90 degrees outside but I’m not gonna shell out eight bucks to wade in urine while a bunch of tots scream their heads off. I think I’d rather get jiggy to some good old fashion rock music.

For free. The MidPoint Indie Summer Music Series continues at Fountain Square on Friday night, starting with an hour-long set from Soapland at 7 p.m. followed by The Guitars. After that it’s all plaid and v-necks with “clap-your-hands-say-Pabst!” blues rockers The Lions Rampant. A trio of long haired local boys, the Buffalo Killers, will wrap up the evening’s proceedings with their no-nonsense approach to rocking shit. The Square will cease to rock at 11 p.m., as does the booze and grubs up for grabs during the rocking.

Go here to listen to each band.
