“Travel back to a time when vintage vixens performed stunning acts of danger and desire.” So says the Pretty Things Peepshow press release. When this time was, we don’t exactly know, but these broads are back in fringe and fishnets at 10 p.m. Monday to frolic at Mayday in Northside.
This traveling peepshow will feature pretty pin-up girls, burlesque acts harking back to the traditional 1930s-style show all the way up to a modern-day Rockabilly take and classic carnival-esque sideshow acts like midgets walking on glass, contortionists, fire-eaters, sword-swallowers, singers, dancers, comedy acts and more.
The cast includes Bettina May, a former Suicide Girl; Go-Go Amy, a burlesque starlet who designs her own costumes; and Lil’ Miss Firefly, the “Midget of Mischief As Mayhem.”
Mayday is located at 4231 Spring Grove Ave., Northside. Get event and club details here.
