Although filmmaker Barbara Wolf and theater director Michael Burnham have lived together for 40 years, they’ve never collaborated on a project until now. A man at a grocery store buying bottled water instead of groceries inspired their piece.
Wolf decided to make a documentary about how good Cincinnati’s water is; Burnham wanted to explore how we feel when enclosed by corporate globalization. They each made their own piece then mixed them into one. Wolf and Burnham were creating Fringe works before there were festivals.
He says if you attend you “run the risk of being entertained and perhaps actually learning or even rethinking something.”
