Have you ever wondered what Cincinnati tastes like? Asphalt? Chili? Well, wonder no more because the annual Taste of Cincinnati descends upon downtown this Memorial Day weekend to answer that question.
As the nation’s longest running culinary arts festival, Taste brings over 40 restaurants out of their storefronts and into booths to line six blocks of Fifth Street with their special/favorite menu items, all for your gastronomic pleasure. Participating restaurants include Shanghai Mamas, The Melting Pot, Washington Platform, Bella Luna, Andy’s and more. Along with delicious food there will be beer booths and live music, two things that no good street festival is without.
And while there might be some other stages scattered around downtown, the most important is probably the CityBeat Stage. On Sunday our stage will be packed full of great music from acts like Visqueen (1:30 p.m.), Daughters and Sons (3:30 p.m.), You You’re Awesome (7:30 p.m.) and then Chicago mash-up artists The Hood Internet (9:30 p.m.). So come drink, listen to music and taste the best Cincinnati has to offer, including the “Best Damn Dish” of the festival, the Raspberry Cloud Pie from Courtyard Café.
Noon-midnight Saturday and Sunday; noon-9 p.m. Monday.
