Lavomatic Café & Urban Wine Bar
Flavor: Urban fare with a twist, like tater tots with truffles, salad on the grill or cupcakes made of meatloaf. Featuring local, seasonally sourced ingredients whenever possible, Lavomatic has been a revelation to the local dining scene. If you like to graze and are looking for staff that can give you pairing recommendations, this is your place.

If you want heartier fare, try the Smoked and Grilled Pork Chops or Strip Steak. The menu changes frequently to accommodate seasonal changes.
Flair: Housed in what was a neighborhood Laundromat, the airy, sun-lit space embraces an environmentally sound future in its design, which features bamboo floors and tables, a bar made of cork and table bases that are recycled from Grammer’s.
1211 Vine St., Over-the-Rhine, 513-621-1999. Open Tuesday-Sunday. $10-$30.
