• Democratic primary for U.S. Senate between Ohio Secretary of State Jennifer Brunner and former Lt. Gov. Lee Fisher. Winner faces Cincinnatian Rob Portman and others in November.
Brunner made some last-minute campaign stops in Cincinnati.
• Ohio Issue 1, which would extend the state's bond funding for the Third Frontier program that's credited for creating or assisting 571 startup companies since 2005 with a total economic impact of $6.6 billion.
• Contested primaries for the soon-to-be-vacant Hamilton County Commission seat held by David Pepper. The Democratic contest is between Cincinnati City Councilman Cecil Thomas, ex-Councilman Jim Tarbell and Whitewater Township Trustee Hubert Brown. The Republican primary is between Cincinnati City Council colleagues Leslie Ghiz and Chris Monzel. Winners face off in November.
• Republican primary for State Representative in the 28th District between Cincinnati Tea Party founder Mike Wilson, Sycamore Township Board of Trustee President Tom Weidman, former Wyoming City Councilwoman Vicky Zwissler and Jeffrey Paul. Winner faces incumbent Connie Pillich (D-Montgomery) in November.
