Catch it right now, today or Thursday, before it goes away. Tables and Walls, a varied and exacting photography exhibition at Iris Bookcafé will come down Thursday night and a new show, Loss/Lost, will be up for Final Friday. The new exhibition sounds promising (two American-based photographers never shown in Cincinnati) but the current one presents seven known and unknown Cincinnati area photographers pushing boundaries in their individual ways.

Among them are Michael Wilson, seen recently at Weston Gallery as well as previously at Iris, and Tim Freeman, whose subjects are his rescued dogs in unexpected close-ups. Others are Lars Anderson, Steve Hotard, Kent Krugh, William Messer and Marc Suda. All have either shown at Iris before or presented work at curator Messer’s Second Sunday Portfolio reviews, held at the café each month (hence the title, Tables and Walls.). Open 8 a.m.-11 p.m. Monday-Thursday and Final Fridays; 11 a.m.-6 p.m. other Fridays and Saturday-Sunday.
