Save Our Strays CD Release Party

Feb. 5 • Northside Tavern

By Stephen Carter-Novotni · February 2nd, 2010 · Sound Advice

Northside Tavern hosts a party Friday to benefit the local Save Our Strays (SOS) animal rescue. Local bands Buckra (pictured), Daughters & Sons and Nathan Holscher & the Ohio 5 perform their standards as well as tracks from the new SOS album, Free Lap Dances Volume 5: Friends With Benefits.

The event is free, but CDs are $5. SOS is also hawking handmade beaded jewelry, knit clothing and cat toys.

These gift items start at $2 and could make great Valentine’s Day gifts for animal lovers. All proceeds from CD sales go to Save Our Strays (www.soscinci.org).

SOS works to reduce the number of stray cats and dogs in Cincinnati through non-lethal methods, including fostering abandoned pets in the homes of volunteers and using the Trap-Neuter-Return method for feral cats.
