As part of Covington’s Full Spectrum series, the World Music Fest is back and bigger than over. With over 40 acts and 150 performers in seven venues, this weekend promises to celebrate diverse cultures through music, dance and art. Venues include Chez Nora, Leapin Lizard, Artisans Enterprise Center and more all over Covington.
Friday night’s event is a kick-off party from 6-10 p.m. at Baker Hunt with the Faux Frenchmen, food and wine. Saturday features music and dance all day, from 9 a.m.-9 p.m., with an afterparty at Leapin Lizard (9 p.m.-midnight). And Sunday is the Mainstage concert at Madison Theater from 5-10 p.m. with musical acts Javier Mendoza, Nicholas Tuttle, Roger Drawdy and the Firestarters, Acarya and Super-Massive. $30 Friday; free Saturday except $5 for the afterparty; $12-$15 Sunday.
