The 2008 MidPoint Music Festival is upon us, so get ready for three nights of sublime entertainment from the best local, regional and international musicians ever to congregate in this region during one weekend. Get in-depth with these interviews of five prominent acts, then plan out your evenings with the up-to-date schedules in the MidPoint pulloff guide on the outside of this issue.

Daily Schedules

Pull off the outside MidPoint wrap of this issue and plan your nightly adventures.Up-to-the-minute lineup changes will be posted at mpmf.com.

Wristbands/Tickets

Get wristband details in the “Tickets” boxes underneath each day’s schedule in the pull-off guide.

Advance tickets remain available for the Southgate House shows: Bob Pollard’s Boston Spaceships and The High Strung Thursday ($15 advance); The Sadies and The Hiders Friday ($12 advance); Mates of State and Fairmount Girls Saturday ($12 advance). Buy them via the Southgate House Web site (southgatehouse.com).

Scion Streetcar Shuttle

We’ll deploy 20 Scion xB cars to circulate on a route that models Cincinnati’s proposed streetcar line, making stops at nine locations running north on Main Street, west on 12th Street, south on Walnut Street and east on Fifth Street. The rides are free for everyone with a three- or one-day MidPoint wristband and will run 7- 11 p.m. Thursday and 8 p.m.-midnight Friday and Saturday. See the venue map on the pull-off guide back cover for stop locations.
