CityBeat cover story package on the CEAs 11-14-07: Read it here. Tickets are on sale for the 11th annual Cincinnati Entertainment Awards for music on Sunday, November 18 at the Taft Theatre downtown. Doors open at 7 p.m., and the show starts at 8. Tickets are $15 in advance for general admission seating and $20 at the door. Buy them here. The CEAs are presented by Scion, Dewey’s Pizza, Taft Theatre, WNKU-FM, Local 12/CinCW and CityBeat. Acts scheduled to perform Sunday include CEA Hall of Famers Over the Rhine, Black Crowes tour-mates Buffalo Killers, Wussy, Bad Veins, Angels of Meth and Tropicoso. The late H-Bomb Ferguson, a longtime fixture on Cincinnati’s Blues scene, will be inducted into the CEA Hall of Fame. Jen Dalton and Bob Herzog of Local12 (WKRC-TV) will again serve as CEA hosts. A wildly diverse group of local musicians is represented in the nominations.The most nominations any act received is four: 500 Miles to Memphis and Pearlene. Acts with three nominations include Buffalo Killers, Heartless Bastards, Jon Justice Band, The Seedy Seeds, Wussy and C. Spencer Yeh. See the full list of nominated acts HERE. |
