If you're planning on attending Scribble Jam

If you're planning on attending Scribble Jam-- which is now billing itself as "America's Largest Hip Hop Festival" -- this weekend, there's more than just the "main event" at Annie's. Below is a schedule for the full weekend, including the "main event" and side events.

Scribble organizers don't post set times for performers, so plan on making a full day of it. Be sure to check blogs.citybeat.com/spill_it for wrap-up reports and more interviews.

Thursday
"Meet and Greet" Party at The Poison Room (301 W. Fifth St., Downtown, 513-333-0010)

Two floors of DJs and live performances starting at 8 p.m., featuring DJ P, Maddillz, Tut, Distrakt, Wonda Woman, Pugslee, West Coast All Stars, Prime, Big Quarters, Thesaurus, Nocando and The Opus

All ages allowed. $5 before 10 p.m., $10 after.

Friday
Main Event Day 1 at Annie's (4343 Kellogg Ave., Columbia-Tusculum, 513-321-2572)

Graffiti Expo all day (4 p.m. start)

MC Preliminary Battles start at 4 p.m., featuring live performances by All Natural, Fresh Daily, Creature, Qwel/Robust/Mestizo (G4), Zeph and Azeem, Maclethal, Jaz-O (see interview on page 20), Wise Intelligent (see interview, left), Black Milk, Mr. Dibbs, Lifesavas, Evidence & DJ Revolution (Dilated Peoples), Boot Camp Clik, Buckshot, DJ Logic, Smif N Wesson and Heltah Skeltah (Featuring Sean Price).

All ages allowed. $20-$25 advance, $25 day of show (at ticketmaster.com or 513-562-4949)

Scribble Jam Graffiti Show at ArtWorks (811 Race St., Downtown, 513-333-0388)

Opening reception for artists runs 6-9 p.m. (see preview on page 22). Exhibition continues through Sept. 7.

Saturday

Graffiti Expo all day (3 p.m. start)

B-Boy Circles all day (3 p.m. start)

Live performances start at 3 p.m., featuring Animal Crackers, Carnage, Kurious, Tash (Alkaholiks) and Chief Kamachi & Reef the Lost Cauze (JuJu Mob).

Battles begin at 3 p.m.: Brand New Production Battle, Beatbox Battle, DJ Battle, MC Battle and B-Boy Battle.

All ages allowed. $23-$30 advance, $25 day of show (at ticketmaster.com or 513-562-4949)

Sunday
· Party in the Park at Burnet Woods (Clifton Avenue, Clifton)

Barbeque and B-boy performances start at noon start.

All ages allowed. Free.

· "Beat Down" producer competition hosted by Mr. Dibbs and Rob Viktum at Top Cat's (2820 Vine St., Coryville, 513-281-2005)

Performers to be announced.

8 p.m. start. 18 and up only. $5 at the door.
