Women Voters Luncheon

The League of Women Voters of the Cincinnati Area presents the Visions For Greater Cincinnati Luncheon at 11:30 a.m. April 19 at the Duke Energy Center. Creative Resistance

The 2007 SOS Art Show, which highlights a variety of artistic forms on themes of peace and justice, is accepting applications from artists. The show, in its fifth year, is May 25-June 3 at the Art Academy of Cincinnati. The deadline for receipt of applications is May 4, 2007. The Mayor Will See You Now

Cincinnati Mayor Mark Mallory meets twice a month with anyone who has an issue or problem to discuss with him. "Mayors Night In" is from 5-7 p.m. in the mayor's office at City Hall. Every citizen who attends has a five-minute individual meeting to talk about anything they wish. Meetings are assigned in the order that individuals sign in, with sign-ins beginning at 4:30 pm. The next sessions are April 24, May 8 and 22 and June 5 and 19.

Documentary Series Seeks 'One World'

The Seven Hills School, in conjunction with Cincinnati Earth Institute, presents its Spring 2007 community film series, "One World: Building A Sustainable Future," focusing on global awareness and environmental sustainability. Each film provides an opportunity for members of the school and Greater Cincinnati communities to discuss global challenges and some of the ways human ingenuity can work with the natural world to meet them. The films will be shown at no charge in Founders Hall on the Hillsdale Campus, 5400 Red Bank Road. The films begin at 7 p.m. For more information, call 271-9027. The films are Kilowatt Ours, April 25; and The Next Industrial Revolution, May 23.
