Here are a few programs to look out for in the upcoming week ...

FRIDAY 8 P.M. First in Flight, Discovery. Nearly a century has passed since two bicycle builders from Dayton, Ohio -- take that North Carolina -- taught themselves how to build the world's first powered aircraft able to sustain flight. Unfortunately, the Wright brothers feared having their plans stolen or copied, so they left little documentation, and no one has ever successfully reproduced a working Wright flyer. From limited original notes, sketchy blueprints and blurry historic photos, a team of engineers led by pilot, plane builder and historian Ken Hyde will "reverse engineer" the final plane, working backwards to building the most accurate reproduction of the 1903 Wright Flyer ever made.

FRIDAY 10:15 P.M. Austin Powers: International Man of Mystery, TCM. Only six years on and it's a classic? Well, it's a good chance to see it uncut for semi-free. In letterbox format, by the way.

SUNDAY 8 P.M. Wuthering Heights, MTV. A liberal adaptation of the classic novel by Emily Bronte, tells the story of Cate (Erika Christensen) and Hendrix (Johnny Whitworth). They live with their counterculture father, Earnshaw, in a ramshackle lighthouse, "The Heights." Enter Heath (as in "Heathcliff") (Mike Vogel). Cate, trying to quash her feelings for him, accepts a hasty marriage proposal from Edward Linton (Chris Masterson), a shy suitor. But their happiness is short-lived when Cate can't escape her true feelings for Heath. Maybe this will inspire kids to read the book? To see the old movie? To listen to the song by Kate Bush? Well, they tried.

SUNDAY 10 P.M. Extreme Concept Cars, Travel Channel. Cruise the freeways in one-of-a-kind, million-dollar prototypes that let car manufacturers and enthusiasts dream big. From radical sports cars to muscle-bound motorcycles, experience the most outrageous concept cars and meet their designers. Perhaps we'll find out why these cars are never built for mass consumption.

MONDAY 8 P.M. Hiroshima: The Decision to Drop the Bomb, The History Channel. An investigation, based on newly released documents, into President Truman's controversial decision to drop the atomic bomb. Evidence suggests the real reason the U.S. did it was to intimidate the Soviet Union, which, according to right-wing nut Ann Coulter, Truman worshipped. Must've been some kind of tough love thing.

NEWS & NOTES: Friends: The Complete Fifth Season on DVD hits shelves Nov. 4. ... Jack Osbourne will host a program called Union Jack on Britain's Channel 4, according to Zap2it.com. It is said to offer a Brit's-eye view of L.A. Mostly from gutter level, we assume. Wanker.
