Upon entering the cheerful Sedgwick Gallery in Loveland, you feel a sense of calm and peace. Cyd Alper Sedgwick, owner of the gallery that showcases local artists, is also an interior designer and Feng Shui practitioner. The ancient art of Feng Shui uses strategically placed objects, color and space to allow an unhindered flow of energy throughout a room, building or office. This affects people living and working within the space and also in other areas of their lives such as relationships, career, wealth, health and more.
Cyd feels very strongly that people should live and work in more restful surroundings where there's peace and harmony. When remodeling or buying a new place, clients consult her to view the space and give suggestions, make corrections or even tell if it's the right place for them.
Once, while consulting on a condo, Cyd walked into the bedroom and was struck with a violent headache because of the heavy electrical cables that were hanging in front of the window. Upon her recommendation not to buy this specific condo, the client instead purchased the one next door.
People can suffer from insomnia, disharmony, headaches, back problems and respiratory problems because the Feng Shui is wrong and the energy cannot flow through correctly. This might also be why some property is constantly changing hands.
