Here are a few programs to look out for in the upcoming week ...

WEDNESDAY 8 P.M. James: Brother of Jesus?, History Channel. Has historical evidence for the existence of Jesus surfaced, literally written in stone? An ossuary (a box that holds bones) was uncovered among the relics of a private collector in Jerusalem. It bears an Aramaic inscription: "James, son of Joseph, brother of Jesus." Comedian Bob Goldwaith once wondered what it would be like to be the sibling of our savior. "James, why can't you be more like your brother?"

WEDNESDAY 10 P.M. South Park, Comedy Central. Well, the edge has been dulled a bit, but South Park kicks off its seventh season with the first of seven new episodes.

THURSDAY 9 P.M. Smuckers Stars on Ice 2003, A&E. America's top figure-skating show features Canada's Jamie Sale and David Pelletier and Russia's Elena Berezhnaya and Anton Sikharulidze, the two pairs involved in the infamous Olympics judging controversy a year ago. Scott Hamilton, Katarina Witt and Salt Lake City gold medallist Alexei Yagudin are also featured in this two-hour presentation, sans rat-fink, frog judges.

THURSDAY 10 P.M. Secrets of Seattle, Travel Channel. Why is this northwestern city often voted one of the best in the U.S.? Grab a coffee, cappuccino or espresso, put on your Pearl Jam shirt and tune in to find out.

SUNDAY 8 P.M. Giant Monsters, Animal Planet. Wildlife adventurer Jeff Corwin, armed only with his wit and keen animal acumen, strikes out to find a collection of the animal kingdom's all-time giant monsters. With computer-generated imagery the program spans the ages and a range of species, from a giant spider so big it belongs in an Ed Wood movie to a carnivorous lizard that stood man-high and ate rhino-sized marsupials. Corwin takes audiences out to meet Mother Nature's pituitary nightmares. This is also Animal Planet's first, original computer generated special.

SUNDAY 9 P.M. Medieval Tourna-ment, Travel Channel. "Making of a Knight." In medieval times, the tournament was the heart of the culture, playing a vital role in the training of the medieval knight and serving as a well-attended sporting event. Jousting tournaments were used by ruling princes for political patronage and contributed to national order and stability. It was an occasion of glamour and splendor. This program re-creates a tournament, in all its spectacle. Kings who couldn't control their spending ultimately were the undoing of the event.

WEDNESDAY 7 A.M. USFL Football, ESPN Classic. San Antonio Gunslingers at Houston Gamblers. "Wake up, it's 1984!" to borrow a line from an Oingo Boingo song. It was 20 years ago that the USFL got under way. This game from the 1984 season features Jim Kelly quarterbacking the Gamblers in a surprisingly close battle with often inept Gunslingers.

NEWS & NOTES: If "W" gives the go-ahead in Iraq, CBS will not show the first round of the NCAA Men's Basketball tournament. Games will be switched to MTV, VH-1 and/or TNN, all owned by CBS parent Viacom. ... Speaking of MTV, Real World Las Vegas cast member (and Cincinnati native) Alton Williams was arrested after a bar brawl at a Make-a-Wish event in Charlotte, N.C., according to USA Today.
