They're begging for your work. All you artists who have something to show the world, here's a big lead on your big chance.

Fitton Center for the Arts. FEED THE BODY/FEED THE SOUL, an arts/hunger benefit competitive exhibition has issued a call for entries. Jurors: KIM HUMPHRIES, former associate curator at CAC, and GARY GAFFNEY, professor of art at the Art Academy. Oct. 14 entries (actual works} due at Fitton. Judging: Oct.18. Benefit Preview Auction and Opening reception: Oct. 28. Exhibit runs through Dec. 2. Thirty percent of sales will go to Shared Harvest Foodbank ("feed the body") and the Fitton Center for Creative Arts ("feed the soul") programs that really do just that. $15 entry fee covers two works per artist. The Cathedral Basilica of the Assumption in Covington, Ky. VISIONS VI, an international, juried art exhibit. Show opens with reception and awards on Sept. 23, ends Oct. 12. $25 gets three entries by slide per artist. Deadline for entries: Aug. l. Total awards: $2,000. 2000 FT. THOMAS FINE ARTS FESTIVAL. Fairly new on the block, in its second year, to be held in Tower Park on June 25, from noon to 5 p.m.. Spaces of 10-by-10 feet are $25, and include some nice perks, like credit card sales through Risch Gallery for a fee. The artist keeps all profits from other sales. The first festival last year got great media coverage, a good crowd, refreshments and music. Info: Dennis at Risch Gallery, 859-441-3838.

WALLACE WOODS NEIGHBORHOOD HOUSE AND GARDEN TOUR in Covington. A little more cozy is the art show planned to accompany the tour. They promise some shade, on specification, a casual atmosphere, and no jurying. Just send registration form and $20 by June 8 to Jackie and Russell Slone, 27 Sterrett Avenue, Covington, Ky. 41014.
