Zrazy
|
With vocals that hover between a cross-pollination of Edith Piaf and Basia and saxophone shadings reminiscent of Richie Cole, Ireland's Zrazy are vocalist Maria Walsh and Carole Nelson on alto and soprano saxes and piano. Churning World Beat, Celtic and Straight Ahead Jazz into a brew they've dubbed "pagan Funk," the duo -- fresh from a win at this year's GLAMAs (Gay and Lesbian American Music Awards) -- will be offering a fresh alternative to the beer-swigging and parking hassles of Jammin' on Main with these two performances at the Greenwich.
Friday and Saturday at the Greenwich.
